Mobile postpaid redefined with ‘Freedom’ plan

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino mobile users can now enjoy the benefits of a true postpaid plan without fear of overspending or long-term lock-ins as wireless leader, Smart, launches the Postpaid “Freedom” Plan.

“As the only mobile postpaid plan with no Monthly Service Fee (MSF) in the Philippines, Freedom gives subscribers total freedom to use their postpaid plan the way they see fit. No monthly service fees, no lock-ins, and no obligations,” said Smart Postpaid Business Head Kathy C. Carag.

Much like a regular Smart All-In Postpaid plan, the Smart Postpaid Freedom Plan enables users to purchase service “buckets” such as Trio Talk 150 which offers 150 mins of calls to Smart, Sun, and Talk ‘N Text subscribers good for 15 days for only P150, and All Text 200 which includes 2000 texts to all networks and 150MB of mobile surfing good for 30 days for only P200.

These buckets allow for fully-customizable postpaid experience which gives subscribers more value for their money. And with no monthly service fee (MSF), Freedom subscribers may also use their plans on a per minute or a per text basis.

“No use, no pay, it’s as simple as that. Pay only for what you consume,” said Carag. “You can use your Freedom SIM as a second SIM or even as a backup and it’s ready to use whenever you need it. There is no expiration date.” he added.

Talk More, Text More

Apart from Freedom’s no-nonsense packages and application, this unique postpaid plan brings you closer to over 50 million Smart subscribers and 15 million Sun subscribers in the Philippines.

“Smart or Sun Cellular users with Tri-Net or On-Net packages can now text or call you at no extra cost,” said Carag. “Similarly, you don’t have to spend a single centavo just to maintain a postpaid Smart line,” he added.

Easy application

Signing up for a Smart Postpaid Freedom Plan is just as easy as using it. Simply visit any Smart Store present one valid school or company ID, and pay for the P250 application fee.

You will then receive your Smart Freedom SIM on the spot and within the next 24 hours, you can begin availing of the best services on the country’s best network.

A credit limit also ensures you will not spend more than P600 and as a special treat, you get a 10% rebate on the first 6 months of your subscription.

“It’s like having the benefits of prepaid on postpaid and vice versa, except that we’ve made it even better and more versatile,” said Claro.
