YouTube makes live mobile streaming available to users

YouTube’s mobile app will soon be getting live-streaming functionality with the touch of a button.
A report from The Verge states that the mobile streaming interface is similar to Periscope’s. However, YouTube claims that its existing infrastructure has an advantage over their competitors, as streamers and users will be able to search for live broadcasts as well as recorded videos.
YouTube’s release was hot on the heels of Twitter-owned Periscope, giving it only one day in the spotlight. Facebook is also investing a lot on video live streaming.
YouTube is confident that, apart from providing a more secure platform, its live streams will be faster and more reliable than any service in the market. Alfred Bayle
