It has not been long since Microsoft released its anniversary update for Windows 10 and already the company is saying that two more are planned to be released next year.

No specific details were mentioned for these features apart from being referred to as Redstone 2 and 3. These upcoming updates may coincide with the hardware updates that will be implemented on the Microsoft Surface Book and Pro, The Verge reported.

Redstone 2 is being penned as the more significant update and will be followed late next year by Redstone 3. The current anniversary update is codenamed Redstone 1 and is the second big update since Windows 10 was launched. The first one is Threshold 2.

Based on the trend, it would seem that Microsoft is aiming to have two big updates per year moving forward.  Alfred Bayle
