3 new tools added to Instagram Stories

Sharing stories on Instagram is going to get a lot more fun with three new tools being added to help users better connect with friends.
Boomerang allows users to create mini-videos that play forward and back by stitching together a burst of photos. To do this, simply swipe right from the feed to open the stories camera.

After sharing the Boomerang, users can then tag people in their stories with Mentions. Just type “@“ followed by the username, then select the person to be mentioned. The username will appear underlined in the story and can be tapped on to go to that person’s profile.

Users can even lead viewers of their stories to more content through the “See More” feature. This allows the insertion of links to stories. Users need only tap on the See More button or swipe up to access the links.

The Instagram Stories updates are now available as part of Instagram version 9.7 for iOS, Android and Windows 10. Alfred Bayle
