WATCH: Nintendo Switch survives 1,000-foot drop test

/ 02:14 PM June 01, 2017

There’s something undeniably satisfying in watching drop test videos. For one thing, not everybody can literally throw away good money on an expensive gadget just to have it destroyed from being dropped at a dangerous height.

That said, any gadget dropped from a height of 1,000 feet should have shattered beyond repair upon reaching the ground. Surprisingly, as shown in this video, the Nintendo Switch not only survived being shattered—it even turned on like nothing happened.

Despite appearing like any other flimsy-looking gadget, it appears Nintendo really put some effort into designing their newest console.

However, it’s still not recommended to handle your Switch carelessly unless you have bundles of spare cash stuffed in your sofa to repair or replace your Switch with a new one. JB
