Google Drive’s ‘Backup and Sync’ feature now available

A month after it was supposed to debut, Google’s new Backup and Sync desktop app is now available for download for both Mac and Windows users.

The cause of delay was not revealed by the company, but Google assured users that the space-saving and file-sharing app is now working at its optimal capacity.

Each user will be allowed a 15-GB capacity for photos and videos from cameras, SD cards and USB devices.

“Just choose the folders you want to back up, and we’ll take care of the rest,” Google described the feature in a blog post.

Backup and Sync is now available—free of charge—through Google Drive and Google Photos.
