It looks like Motorola gave Samsung a dose of its own medicine in a new ad.

The American phone company asked users to “up-upgrade” to its new unit, the Moto Z, by featuring a man enjoying his current phone, similar to the Galaxy Note 8 which Samsung promoted in a recent ad campaign.

In the Motorola ad, the man suddenly lost interest in his phone when his girlfriend took out the Moto Z. She projected a video of themselves on the wall using the phone, getting him more intrigued by the Motorola unit.

Moto Z boasts of moto mods which, according to the official Motorola site, transforms the phone into a boombox, super-zoom camera, projector and more.

The ad comes after Samsung mocked the popularity of the iPhone, the flagship phone of the California-based tech company Apple, in its new ad. The Samsung ad poked fun at the iPhone’s commonly reported problems, such as low storage capacity, poor waterproofing, among others. JB
