MicroSD memory card with record-breaking 512GB capacity to be released

British manufacturer Integral Memory is set to release the first microSD memory card with a 512-gigabyte storage capacity, which sets a new record.

With this level of storage, these high-capacity memory cards will give Android smartphone and tablet users plenty of room to store high-definition and ultra-high-definition videos. The manufacturer also promises data transfer speeds of 80 megabytes per second.

This microSD card is due to launch in the United Kingdom in February. Details of pricing and global availability are yet to be released.
