A new Motorola Razr phone may be in the works and it could have a foldable screen.

The information was hinted by Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing during the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain between Feb. 25 and Mar. 1, according to an exclusive report by TechRadar. Lenovo currently owns the Motorola brand.

“With the new technology, particularly foldable screens, I think you will see more and more innovation on our smartphone design,” the report quoted Yuanqing.

The Chinese company and Samsung have been teasing foldable screens for the past few years through concept devices. Now, Lenovo may have a vehicle for introducing a mobile phone with a folding screen through the Razr brand of thin clamshell-type phones. Alfred Bayle/JB
