Instagram is offering a mute option, which lets you control your feed on the photo-sharing app.

The new feature lets you hide posts of certain accounts without unfollowing them, Instagram announced in its blog site yesterday.

Users can mute an account by tapping the “…” option at the rightmost corner of the post. They can choose to mute posts alone, or with stories as well.

Another way to mute posts is by pressing and holding on a story on your tray, or from someone’s profile.

Despite being muted, users can still view someone’s profile page and get notified when they are tagged in photos and comments. The account muted will not be notified.

Mute will be rolling out in the next few weeks, according to the site.  /ra
