Information Capital Technology Ventures Inc. (ICTV), an online securities matchmaker turned value-added service provider, has formally transformed itself into a telecom company.
In a disclosure to the stock exchange, the company said its stockholders had agreed to engage in providing telecommunications, media and IT products and services.
The company said that aside from offering value-added telecommunications services, it could now engage in wired and wireless, fixed and mobile communications; software and hardware technology, business process outsourcing, call center and other information technology applications; digital media and other media, except mass media.
It said it was planning to enter the software development services industry; establish a highly interactive Web portal that aggregates voice, remittance and other services for overseas Filipino workers and their families; launch a social networking portal similar to FaceBook, MySpace and Friendster geared at business use; and acquire companies in the telecommunications, media and technology space locally and abroad.
