MANILA, Philippines -- The Asian regional office of Oracle has confirmed that Francis Ong, Oracle Philippines managing director, is taking a new role at Oracle Asia Pacific.
Oracle ASEAN Public Relations Manager Yin Yin Boey confirmed the news through an emailed response to INQUIRER.NET.
The Oracle executive did not mention when Ong left and what new position he is taking in the region.
Boey also did not mention who will replace Ong who started working for Oracle as regional alliance manager for South Asia region in 2001.
He moved to Oracle Philippines in 2003 as a sales director, eventually replacing Yashi Kant in August 2006 as managing director for Oracle Philippines.
Ong has a business degree from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia and a Diploma in Business from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore.
