MANILA, Philippines?Listed business process outsourcing (BPO) firm eTelecare Global Solutions has clinched a deal with a major online dating company on the provision of a wide range of customer services.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the company said the services it would provide the online dating firm included acquisition, billing inquiry, technical support, profile management and retention.

"This leading online dating company has millions of subscribers who live in many countries and speak many different languages. By investing to outperform in people, process and technology, we intend to create real, sustainable value for this client and earn the opportunity to expand our relationship globally," said eTelecare president and chief executive John Harris.

He said eTelecare's diverse delivery centers, spread across various regions globally, enabled the company to serve the online dating company's full range of customer service requirements.

eTelecare aims to "deliver high quality service and achieve performance levels and subscriber retention rates comparable to, or better than, the client's internal service centers," he said.

The BPO firm operates 15 delivery centers with more than 13,000 employees in the Philippines, the United States, Nicaragua and South Africa.

Its Philippine delivery centers, which house 80 percent of its total employee count, are strategically located in different parts of Metro Manila, including Eastwood City, Makati, Alabang and Mandaluyong. It also has two centers in Cebu and one in Pampanga, within the former US military base in Clark.

The company's expansion to Cape Town in South Africa was implemented just last March, enabling it to offer European, North American, Global 1000 and in-country clients BPO services in English, French, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Italian and other European languages.
