Cisco Systems to buy Meraki for $1.2 billion

Cisco Systems Inc., the world’s largest maker of computer networking gear, said Sunday it is buying Meraki for $1.2 billion to expand its ability to let customers compute in the cloud.

Internet can boost economy – networking firm

If more people are connected to the internet, it can move the economy faster and even increase the country’s growth, an international computer networking company said Tuesday during an annual networking convention in the country.

Worldwide mobile data traffic to rocket—Cisco

The amount of data sent to or from mobile gadgets around the world annually will rocket to hit the equivalent of 33 billion full-length DVD films by the year 2016, computer networking titan Cisco forecast on Tuesday.
