Netflix of video games: Twitch coming to PS4

A long awaited ‘Final Fantasy’ returns at E3

It’s a video game more than seven years in the making. Square Enix revealed Monday during Sony’s presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo that “Final Fantasy XV” would finally see the light of day. The latest entry in the long-running role-playing series was previously known as “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” and was first revealed at E3 way back in 2006.

Sony’s new-generation PlayStation 4 console scored an opening skirmish triumph over Microsoft’s Xbox One on the eve of the Tuesday start of premier E3 videogame conference here.

Sony bills PS4 console as gaming’s future

Sony unveiled a new generation PlayStation 4 system Wednesday and laid out its vision for the “future of gaming” in a world rich with mobile gadgets and play streamed from the Internet cloud.

Sony unveiled its next-generation gaming system, PlayStation 4, at an event in New York, saying the console will be part of a new ecosystem focused on hardware, software and “the fastest, most powerful gaming network.”
