The entry of realme Philippines in the postpaid market in the country is a welcome development for the global smartphone brand that is rapidly increasing its market share—in fact already gaining the top spot in the country’s smartphone market in just over two years since the brand landed here.
No. 1 smartphone brand
According to recent reports of international market research firms Canalys, IDC, and Counterpoint Research, realme Philippines has already claimed the Number 1 spot in the country’s smartphone market, recording triple-digit growth in Q3 2020.
Global market intelligence firm IDC reported realme Philippines achieved a staggering 962.5 percent annual growth and captured 25.4 percent local market share this third quarter.
realme Philippines’ meteoric rise in the local smartphone market can be credited to a number of factors, all favoring consumers wanting more bang for their buck when it comes to their mobile devices. The brand was the first to introduce smartphones loaded with mid-range features but carry entry-level prices.
Again, the brand drastically changed the market by introducing flagship smartphones with top high-end features, usually found in super-expensive-will-make-you-poor handsets by other brands, but realme Philippines just offers them at half the price and even less.
It introduced a number of smartphones—with big battery capacities, great camera hardware, super pleasant displays, intelligent features—that cater to mobile gamers, photography enthusiasts, content creators, and a whole lot of new generation of consumers.
realme Philippines has so far launched four smartphone lines: the premier X-series, the midranger number series, and the bang-for-buck narzo and C-series lines. The brand is also working vigorously on growing its AIoT and smart device portfolios, broadening the realme experience to deliver a well-rounded ecosystem.
realme X50 Pro 5G
The realme X50 Pro 5G is powered by Snapdragon 865, which is one of the most powerful 5G-enabled chipsets available today. The chip is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage currently the biggest in all realme smartphones. This 5G smartphone has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel (f/1.8) main camera, a 12-megapixel (f/2.5) telephoto camera, an 8-megapixel (f/2.3) ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor for portraits. Front camera comprises a 32-megapixel camera, plus a secondary 8-megapixel cam for wide-angle selfies and group shots.
Another flagship feature of the realme X50 Pro 5G is realme’s 65W SuperDart Charge technology, which charges the phone to 100% capacity in just 35 minutes.
“We are immensely grateful to our Filipino fans for helping us reach the top spot here in the Philippines.
