Japanese messaging app LINE launched an online marketplace for non-fungible tokens. It uses the proprietary platform DOSI.
The consumer-to-consumer (C2C) marketplace lets users buy and sell NFTs worldwide. The announcement came out on November 9, 2022, a year after LINE shared its plans to launch an NFT service.
The company said anyone could easily use the LINE NFT marketplace. People could start purchasing and selling non-fungible tokens with a few clicks.
What are the features of the LINE NFT marketplace?
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) record ownership of physical and digital objects via blockchain or crypto networks.
You will need a MetaMask crypto wallet to buy, sell, and store non-fungible tokens on the LINE NFT marketplace.
Start by linking your MetaMask to the DOSI platform. Then, choose an NFT artwork from LINE’s selection. Here are the available collections at the time of writing:
- AlphaCrewz
- APOKI
- DIA TV
- DOSI Citizen
- Hellbound
- NAVER SPORTS
- NOW.Drops.
You must pay for the NFT via Ethers (Ethereum tokens), credit cards, and Naver Pay. LINE claims that DOSI has accumulated numerous users from 149 countries.
It allegedly has more than 100,000 DOSI Wallets with 170,000 membership NFTs. Moreover, purchasing LINE NFT marketplace’s DOSI Citizens offers exclusive benefits.
DOSI NFTs enable users to earn membership points called DON. In other words, they could gain these points by collecting daily login points and inviting friends to the DOSI platform.
Earning enough DON lets users get exclusive rewards. For example, you need DON to join the DOSI Weekly Adventure Raffle to receive blue chip NFTs.
The Japanese messaging firm plans to add more NFT projects in the future. Specifically, LineNext CEO Youngsu Ko elaborated further on the company’s long-term goals:
“We are determined to create a new kind of NFT experience for users. It’s not just an investment or a new kind of technology. For us, DOSI is about making NFTs fund and easy to use, creating benefits for our users, and building communities.”
Moreover, DOSI is available in numerous languages, such as English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Thai, and Bahasa.
