The new feature is only an update to the existing Apple Music app. It already provides lyrics you can sing aloud while listening, so what changed?

FEATURED STORIES

First, you can now adjust the vocal levels. As a result, you can sing along as if you were the lead vocalist.

Second, the lyrics now have animations. Instead of block text, the lyrics dance along to the rhythm of the vocals.

Consequently, the lyrics jive with you as you hit those notes. Third, the vocal lines that play simultaneously have lyrics that animate independently from the main vocals.

The feature lets you have a karaoke session with friends. They could act like backup singers and follow the separately animated lyrics.

Lastly, Apple Music Sing will show multiple vocalists on opposite sides of the screen. As a result, you and your friends will have an easier time following multi-singer tracks.

The update will let you view you and your group on screen as if you are watching yourselves perform on stage.

Apple Music will also provide more than 50 dedicated companion playlists for the Sing update. They will feature duets, choruses, and other epic songs fueling late-night karaoke nights.

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats, said the following statement regarding the new feature:

“Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features on our service.”

“We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favorite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing.”

“It’s really a lot of fun. Our customers are going to love it.”

Conclusion

Apple Music Sing lets you and your friends sing along to your favorite albums. However, the app recently increased the monthly subscription fee to $10.99.

In response, some people chose alternatives like Spotify. After all, it capped 2022 with great updates to this year’s Spotify Wrapped
