For better or worse, TikTok has become a major part of life for millions of people. It enables more people to share their experiences and abilities with the world, changing how they create and appreciate content.
But it seems it will transform an unlikely industry shortly: job seeking – with the world-famous job application platform LinkedIn to release a video feature soon.
According to online posts, the LinkedIn video feature will enable users to post short clips, reminiscent of TikTok. Also, people may scroll between video shorts like Instagram Reels.

On March 28, TechCrunch reported that LinkedIn confirmed testing a new TikTok-like feed for its platform.

The confirmation comes days after Austin Null, a strategy director at the McKinney influencer agency, posted a short demo on the new LinkedIn video feature.
It displays the video feed in the app’s navigation bar in a new Video tab. Users would only tap on the Video button and then a vertical feed of short videos would show up.
Users may react with a thumbs-up and comment on a video, even share it with others, similar to Instagram Reels and other websites that emulated the TikTok formula.

The new video feature may also show various content, from comedy to cooking, but it will focus on careers and professionalism.
However, LinkedIn did not explain how it would choose the videos on user feeds at the time of writing.
The Microsoft-owned company admitted that videos are becoming one of the most demanded formats for learning from experts, which is why the job-hunting company is testing this video feature.
But user reaction to this upcoming upgrade will not be apparent until its release.
