ChatGPT ‘memory’ feature is now available for GPT-4

Many things separate people from artificial intelligence, and the ability to remember things as we encounter them is one. 

Most machines require direct inputs from humans to remember specific information. On the other hand, you remember your girlfriend’s birthday because she’s special to you.

However, artificial intelligence is gaining this natural human trait as OpenAI adds a Memory feature to its world-famous ChatGPT.

How does ChatGPT memory work?

You may gain the new ChatGPT memory feature by subscribing to ChatGPT Plus for $20 monthly. Turn it on by logging on to its website and opening Settings.

Then, select Personalization and then pick Memory. The Personalization tab includes custom instructions, which functions like the new function. 

Custom instructions are a set of rules that the AI chatbot will follow for each conversation. On the other hand, memory remembers information from past threads to guide AI results. 

You input custom instructions manually; ChatGPT memory saves data automatically. For example, it may generate bullet format results based on past interactions requesting that guideline.
