LinkedIn understands these facts. That is why it launched three new games for its users: Crossclimb, Pinpoint, and Queens.
How do LinkedIn games work?
You may try LinkedIn games by opening linkedin.com/games and logging in to your account. Then, pick one of these titles and start playing:
- Crossclimb gives a clue for a word you use to create a ladder of words. Each subsequent entry has one letter off from the one before. Complete the list and rearrange the words to reveal a clue to the top and bottom words. Guess them right and you win.
- Pinpoint is like a mix between Pinoy Henyo and Hangman. It has five hidden words sharing a specific characteristic. The game will reveal a word with each guess, and you win if you guess correctly in fewer than five tries.
- Queens is like the Japanese number grid game Sudoku, but it doesn’t have numbers. Instead, you must place queens so that none touch each other and there’s one in each row and column.
If you’re scratching your head as to why a job posting website has games, you’re not alone. That is why the LinkedIn games page shares this explanation:
“Every year, we study the world’s best workplaces. Turns out, one of the best ways to deepen and reignite relationships at work is simply by having fun together.”
“So we’re excited to roll out three thinking-oriented games — Pinpoint, Queens, and Crossclimb — that allow you to do just that.”
“Compete with your connections, spark conversations, and break the ice. Games forge relationships, and relationships are at the heart of everything we do.”
