Audio pros experience next-gen AVL technology at Harman Experience Day

Close to a hundred audio, video, and lighting (AVL) professionals from broadcasting companies, churches, event management companies, AVL rental companies, AV system integrators, and professional audio engineers attended Audiophile’s first “Harman Experience Day” last May 7 at the B Hotel in Quezon City.

Among the speakers were Nicole Buenaventura, Country Manager of Harman Philippines; Randel Laureta, Application Engineer of Harman APAC; Tia de Guzman, Marketing Communications Manager of Audiophile; and Gary De Guzman, General Manager of Audiophile.

Tia de Guzman, Marketing Communications Manager of Audiophile, talked about Harman’s standalone and integrated technology solutions across audio, lighting, video, and control applications at the “Harman Experience Day.”

The invitation-only event showcased the latest JBL products from Harman, now a Samsung Company.

Among the highlights of the program was the presentation on the JBL PRX series, particularly the JBL PRX ONE—a small but powerful speaker capable of delivering a stunning 130 dB of wide, full-bandwidth coverage with consistent front-to-back throw.

Also presented at the event were the BRX, SRX, and VTX series.

“The JBL BRX Series is a versatile line array for bands, DJs, AVL rental firms, houses of worship, and anyone who needs a compact, portable system that provides superior fidelity, high output, and consistent coverage in a range of sound-reinforcement scenarios. This modular series makes the power of line array technology accessible to customers who are not trained audio engineers—thanks to its plug-and-play simplicity, built-in corrective signal processing, smart transport system, and hassle-free rigging hardware. Users can deploy BRX hardware in minutes and enjoy optimal sound out of the box,” said Tia de Guzman.

The SRX900 Series line array was purposefully designed and thought through by JBL to deliver perfectly tuned systems that are powerful, easy to use, and rugged enough for the most demanding applications, setting the standard for what a fully professional powered PA system should be. This series breaks new ground, bringing together JBL’s premium transducers and enclosures, Crown’s Proprietary Front-End DriveCore Technology, user-configurable digital signal processors (DSP), and full HiQnet Network control compatible with a variety of platforms.

The VTX Series is JBL’s next-generation tour sound solution for mid to large-size touring applications and high-end fixed installations. The series was designed from scratch to address not only audio performance but the full scope of challenges faced by tour sound professionals, rental companies, FOH (“front of house”) engineers, and live production crews. The VTX line stands as a milestone in the practical application of creative engineering because of its high levels of performance, system integration, and user-friendliness.
