Bigger and Better Opportunities

Galaxy Campus is Samsung’s program aimed at promoting youth education and cultivating the next generation of tech trailblazers.  This year-long journey is designed to offer Galaxy Campus Student Ambassadors access to Samsung’s latest innovations, alongside interactions with top creators and industry experts. Through a curated series of workshops, mentorship programs, and exclusive events, participants gain invaluable insights and early previews of upcoming Galaxy devices.

At the kick-off, Samsung Philippines Electronics Corporation (SEPCO) President Min Su Chu shared, “When we launched the Galaxy Campus Student Ambassador Program here in the Philippines, our goal was for Filipino students to enjoy the program the way other young people have enjoyed it around the world.”

Addressing the second batch of Galaxy Campus Ambassadors, he highlights, “This is our hope for all of you: that after one year, at the end of this program, you will not just have learned all about Samsung and what we can offer, but also develop a tech trailblazer mindset that will dictate the future of how we use these devices, and the way it can  make our lives better. Our teams are hard at work ensuring that you will get the most out of being a Samsung Galaxy Campus Student Ambassador, and I encourage all of you to keep an open mind and heart, and enjoy the experience to the fullest,” Chu added.

At its core, Galaxy Campus fosters a culture of collaboration and creativity among peers, empowering Ambassadors to develop their mindset to become a young tech trailblazer.  Beyond technical skills, the program emphasizes personal growth, encouraging Ambassadors to leverage their experiences to pioneer new ideas and solutions. By bridging the gap between learning and application, Samsung aims to cultivate a vibrant community of forward-thinkers who are poised to make a meaningful impact in the tech industry.

Fostering Innovation and Collaboration

At the kick-off party, TV host and model Bianca Gonzales-Intal delivered a heartwarming keynote speech followed by a panel discussion with industry trailblazers which gave them a taste of the kind of exposure they could expect from industry professionals under the program. She shared the importance of discovering one’s gifts, creating with purpose and collaborating with like-minded people. “As you believe in the power of your uniqueness, believe in the uniqueness of your journey and your timeline,” she said to the Galaxy Campus Ambassadors, highlighting that they shouldn’t give up who they are and to rush things in their creative pursuits.

Television host, model, and writer, Bianca Gonzales inspires the student ambassadors with her heartwarming keynote speech.

Bianca added, “Learn how to develop your instincts, learn how to trust the process, and do things well, and believe that it will lead you to the next,” as a way to inspire the student ambassadors to hone their skills and to look forward to what comes next in their journey.

Filipino-American TV personality, model, and vlogger, Wil Dasovich reflected the same sentiment Bianca had by saying, “Don’t let anyone hold you back; especially the fear of what other people think about you. You never overcome that fear; you just face it and you have the courage to do what you want to do regardless of what other people [would say].”

Advocate and Forbes’ 30 under 30 lister, Shawntel Nicole Nieto, and young entrepreneur and content creator, Cleo Loque shared their insights on social welfare and the world of business. Cleo said, “Age is just a number. I really urge you guys to go follow your dreams and don’t let your age stop you from going after what you want. “ Shawntel added, “It all starts with your values. Ano yung paninindigan mo, ano ang pinaniniwalaan mong kailangang maging ng mundo. And then you go from there, you get people go support you in that journey… and then you carry on. If you know that there’s something in it that you’re doing, then just keep at it all the time.” (“It all starts with your values. What are your principles, what do you believe the world needs to be. And then you go from there, you get people to support you in that journey… and then you carry on. If you know that there’s something in it that you’re doing, then just keep at it all the time.”)

Industry trailblazers Shawntel Nicole Nieto, Cleo Loque, and Wil Dasovich shared their experiences in community service, entrepreneurship, and content creation during a meaningful panel discussion.

Beyond the inspiring exchange with these personalities, the student ambassadors also bonded through lively get-to-know-you games, exciting activities, and a special group project which they worked on and presented during the second day of their inauguration.
