Riot Games PH to bring Valorant closer to Filipinos

Riot Games PH partnered with PC cafes and collegiate esports organizations to celebrate the 2024 Valorant Champions Tour. 

From August 1 to 30, ten PC cafes in the Philippines will become Valorant Community Hubs during this global e-sports tournament.

The online gaming leader will also deploy the GG (Gaming Guild) Truck to Cebu to hold a watch party. Moreover, it collaborated with the country’s OPM personalities like SB19’s Josh Cullen and KAIA.

Riot Games PH brings Pinoys together with Valorant

Riot Games developed the massively popular video games League of Legends and Valorant. Nowadays, millions watch the best of the best test their mettle on the world stage in tournaments like the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT).

The event launched its official anthem for 2024, “SUPERPOWER,” featuring South Korean pop sensations Mark Tuan and KISS OF LIFE.

SB19 member Josh Cullen will be the only member who will headline Valorant Champions 2024 local promotions and acts along with other OPM artists.

“It’s all about uniting a diverse global community around a shared passion for quality competition and stylish gameplay that defies cultural expectations within and beyond the game.” 

Riot collaborated with local PC cafe branches to bring esports to Pinoy gaming communities. From August 1 to 30, ten of these locations will become Valorant Community Hubs, including:

Participating branches will host month-long watch parties and pocket events, where gamers can win limited edition VCT Supernova goodies.

Riot Games PH will also mobilize its GG Truck for a watch party in Cebu. Moreover, several university e-sports organizations will hold Champions 2024 watch parties where players can take home exclusive Supernova prizes.

“VCT Champions 2024 is more than e-sports; it’s the culmination of a VALORANT year where both game and esports intersect,” Roberto stated.

“Recognizing the country’s competitive gaming culture and esports communities, we want to give players and fans more opportunities to experience and enjoy Champions 2024.”
