CEBU, Philippines – Japanese cloud-based solutions provider Sansan announced its sustainability initiative in the Philippines.

Sansan offers technologies like the Sansan sales DX solution, Eight business card app, Bill One cloud-based invoice management solution, and Contract One contract DX solution.

Sansan Global Development Center (SGDC) will lead the event in Cebu, which will involve planting 150 trees.

The company based the sustainability project on its Scan For Trees program in Japan to further conserve the natural environment.

Moreover, Sansan is extending Japanese values of coexisting with nature in the Philippines, where it’s bringing local talent to expand global operations.

The tech firm has hired 65 software engineers in Cebu and will bring 100 more aboard by the end of May 2024.

It is creating high-skilled labor that offers high levels of ownership. As a result, it boosts the Philippines’ ambitions to become a leading regional technology hub.

SGDC Director & Country Manager Jay Pegarido said that, “Big tech companies play a crucial role in shaping the future, and their commitment to giving back to the environment is vital…”

“…particularly in regions like the Philippines, where deforestation significantly threatens biodiversity and local communities.”
