Consequently, industry, government and academic experts will gain new insights and learn more about the Philippine IT-BPM sector’s most pressing issues.
This year’s IIS will focus on talent and skills gaps, cybersecurity threats, geopolitical uncertainties and generative artificial intelligence.
More importantly, the IBPAP conference will discuss how the country may overcome these issues to remain at the forefront of global IT-BPM excellence.
The International IT-BPM Summit will also elaborate on generative AI and its impact on this specific tech sector.
Specifically, the event will explain how its holistic approach, the “4E Framework,” can mitigate job losses from growing digitalization:
- Education: The academia, government and various industries must empower society with the latest AI knowledge.
- Engineering: The Philippines must allow everyone to have resources to drive innovation and diversity in AI development.
- Enforcement: Society must have a systematic process of incentives and penalties for AI usage. Consequently, its development protects societal interests.
- Ethics: The country must foster a culture of accountability to uphold ethical AI implementation. Consequently, this tech innovation will benefit all members of society and align with ethical principles.
“I encourage industry professionals, government and stakeholders to join the International IT-BPM Summit 2024 at Okada Manila,” said IBPAP President and CEO Jack Madrid.
“Together, we can celebrate the resilience and innovative spirit of our industry as we shape a promising future and chart a course for continued global leadership over the next 20 years.”
