MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) reminds the public to report cybercrimes to the Inter-Agency Response Center (IARC) hotline 1326.
CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos made this request after seeing numerous complaints over the weekend about unauthorized Gcash fund transfers.

“We encourage the public to please report to CICC if they were affected by the recent e-wallet losses,” Ramos said.
“Your social media platforms will not, in any way, assist you nor resolve your losses in your e-wallets,” he added.
CICC is coordinating with the e-wallet app to investigate the issue.
The agency is also collaborating with the National Telecommunications Commission on how victims can receive assistance.
As of 8:00 PM, November 9, 2024, most victims who reported the unauthorized fund transfer received their money back.
The IARC hotline 1326 is toll-free and operates 24/7, from Mondays to Sundays, including holidays.
