MANILA, Philippines — Philippine IT solutions provider Yondu launched its cybersecurity awareness drive in observance of October’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
It focuses on modern threat detection, incident response, and social engineering defense.
Consequently, the initiative reached professional banking, government, and enterprise sectors via specialized training programs, technical demonstrations, and expert-led sessions.
The campaign coincides with a critical moment when high-profile breaches have exposed vulnerabilities in the Philippines’ largest organizations.
“Modern businesses need stronger cybersecurity than ever,” stated Dennis Sanchez, Yondu’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
“Our managed security services capabilities and understanding of the local threat landscape will help Filipino companies protect themselves against emerging threats.”

The cybersecurity awareness campaign offered social engineering training to technical and non-technical employees.
The sessions allowed them to recognize and respond to deceptive cyberattacks. Also, tech-focused staff joined advanced workshops on secure coding practices and threat intelligence.
Sanchez also spoke at BPI’s Cybersecurity Awareness Event, teaching employees how to identify and prevent cyber threats.
Yondu’s other key programs in October included a Security Operations Center (SOC) immersion with Globe Business.
This collaboration extended to the telecom provider’s Blue Hat Event. Yondu’s technical team demonstrated the capabilities of common hacking tools like HackRF and Flipper Zero.

The CISO also joined a comprehensive dialogue on how a SOC can help LGUs protect critical data from digital threats.
Yondu extended its cybersecurity awareness campaign to digital platforms through informative social media posts. Moreover, it launched its “y-speak” Podcast on YouTube and Spotify.
The company bridges critical knowledge gaps in Philippine cybersecurity with its SOC demonstrations, industry expert-led workshops, and ongoing education initiatives.
Cybersecurity awareness campaigns bolster the country’s digital defenses in the face of mounting risks to Philippine organizations.
