MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The private philanthropic organization Wadhwani Foundation offered a specialized AI tool to help Filipino students get jobs at once after graduation.

Its recent survey revealed that only 10% of K-12 graduates are able to enter the job market immediately.

While 83% pursue university education, only 25% of enrollees graduate from higher education institutions.

The remaining 75% leave the universities and colleges without completing their degrees and join the workforce.

“Our free AI-powered platform provides access to in-demand job skills that address the gaps in the school-to-work journey of K-12 students in the Philippines,” said Dr. Ajay Kela, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wadhwani Foundation.

The AI upskilling platform is called Wadhwani GenieAI, which provides AI Co-Pilots to address gaps between education and employment.

These tools help students gain in-demand job skills and make informed career choices.

Also, GenieAI provides free career counseling tools and teacher training.

Nowadays, the Wadhwani Foundation works with over 60 partners across the Philippines and gives AI Co-Pilots to 22,000 students.

Aside from the AI platform, its grant-making arm, the Wadhwani Charitable Foundation (WCF), offers $1 million in grants annually to high-impact organizations.

WCF looks for local groups that focus on job fulfillment or creation with proven track records.

Moreover, its ideal partners operate within a $1 to $5 million budget, demonstrating strong leadership.

Partner organizations will receive GenieAI access for job creation, skilling and placement.
