First Pokémon life simulation game

Pokémon Pokopia is marked as the first slow-paced life simulation game in the Pokémon franchise. The game was planned and co-developed by The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK inc., and KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD.

Pokémon Pokopia players will play as Ditto, who has transformed into a human. In the game, the players will be tasked to rebuild a world with different kinds of Pokémon.

Players will take part in different adventures, and collect materials throughout the course of the game.

The game is also synchronized with the real world, which will allow players to experience in-game weather changes and the day-night cycle.

Pokémon Pokopia is currently available for purchase in physical and digital stores since March 5, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch 2 was a hybrid game console that was released globally on June 5, 2025. Within its first four-day-release, it reached 3.5 million units, which became the fastest-selling Nintendo console. (By Regine Andres, INQUIRER.net Intern)
