Media Display Solutions wins Silver at NEXT Awards

Media Display Solutions (MDS), the technology and innovation arm of United Neon Media Group (UNMG), bagged the silver award in the recent NEXT Awards Philippines for the “Most Innovative OOH/DOOH Marketing Campaign” category. The award marks a significant milestone in MDS’ continued push to redefine out-of-home (OOH) experiences.

The award was for MDS’ “Magic at the 5th Sky Projection campaign, a pioneering execution which was the first in Southeast Asia, that transformed the night skies of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) into a large-scale, immersive storytelling platform.

The Sky Projection introduced a new frontier in OOH by turning open-air space into a dynamic visual medium—capturing attention beyond traditional formats and creating a shared experience for audiences in the city.

“We’re grateful for this recognition because it reflects the kind of work we want to keep doing at MDS. We aim to continue finding new ways to push past the usual and create out-of-home experiences that feel more immersive and meaningful,” said Wency Adrielyne Tan, Business Unit Head of MDS. 

“Creating something people would look at and actually feel part of was the intention with our Sky Projection campaign. It’s about using technology to bring people into the moment,” she adds.

The campaign reflects a broader shift in OOH toward immersive, experience-led storytelling, where technology enables brands to connect with audiences in more meaningful and memorable ways.

The recognition builds on MDS’ expanding portfolio of innovative executions that reimagine how audiences engage with physical spaces. Recently, MDS also provided the advanced LED technology for the first Asian installation of Portals.org in Bonifacio Global City.  The LED at the Portals did not only show content but enabled presence and experience, according to Tan. 

While distinct in format, both The Portals and Sky Projection highlight MDS’ consistent approach: leveraging technology to turn spaces into stories and moments into shared cultural experiences.

“We’ve always believed the future of OOH will be shaped by creative display innovation. We pay close attention to what’s happening globally and keep refining our ideas so we can keep raising the bar in how we deliver here,” Tan added.
