80th anniversary JBL Tour One M3, Tour Pro in green colorway

To commemorate JBL’s 80th anniversary, the global audio company is releasing a special anniversary edition of their latest Tour One M3 and Tour Pro in a green colorway. This new color comes in a commemorative JBL case in a highly limited release.

According to Mikael Herje, Global Communications Director for Headphones and Wearable, he said that this new colorway also comes with an upcoming firmware push that will revamp the UI of the transmitter module that comes with both devices. The Tour series is a versatile wearable as it comes with a separate Tx unit that you can use to plug and play into other analog and digital devices through USB or 3.5mm jack for instant connectivity. The best use case so far would be to use this as a source for airplane jacks or CD players so that you can enjoy JBL-tuned audio from older devices or from phones or laptops without the need for Bluetooth connectivity. JBL has also adjusted the base tuning of the Tour series which will also be part of the firmware rollout.

According to Herje, the Philippines is a leader in the open wear category, which refers to devices that can be clipped on like earrings or worn behind the ears due to the humidity and environment.
