PRX wins VCT Pacific Stage 1 Championship

Heading to London as VCT Pacific’s new champions, Paper Rex (PRX) claimed their first trophy of the season after a 3-0 Grand Finals sweep vs. Full Sense (FS), May 17, 2026 at the Thiskyhall Sala Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Their win also marked Adrian Jiggs “Invy” Reyes’ first VCT Pacific championship with PRX, and the squad’s third Pacific trophy. The last time PRX won a championship was back in 2025 at VCT Pacific Stage 2 with John Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza.

“It’s the first of many,” Invy said during the post-match interview. “It’s a very good confidence for me.”

Invy continued to show gratitude towards his teammates and coaching staff despite the difficulty of his role as an Initiator.

“My teammates have been helping me a lot despite me struggling in some moments. I really appreciate them and the coaching staff as well. They helped me a lot gain back my confidence in those rough moments,” he added.

The Grand Finals vs. Full Sense

Fresh from surviving the Lower Brackets, PRX was expected to hold momentum. However, PRX couldn’t get an early read against the disciplined Thai squad.

FS had the map pick advantage with a 75-percent win rate in Stage 1 coming into Pearl as they led early with 7-5 in the first half.

The trend continued as FS remained composed, but the points stopped rolling for FS by Round 15. PRX went on a six-round win streak to lead by Round 21, 12-9.

Despite FS efforts in the next round, PRX eventually took the opening map, 13-10, after an aggressive push on B site. Wang Jing “Jinggg” Jie took the lead with a 245 Average Combat Score (ACS) on Phoenix

Next, in Lotus, both teams exchanged equal blows throughout the first half, recording 3 ties before the switch.

PRX then trailed away, proving their mastery of their map pick after a six-round win streak to lead 12-8.

Though FS bounced back the next round, it was the same story as the first map with PRX clinching match-point to end Lotus, 13-9. This map belonged to Ilia “something” Petrov’s 25/13/3, 303 ACS stat line on Jett.

Finally, in Fracture, the early back-and-forth continued. The first half ended again on a tie, with FS carrying the momentum until Round 14.

The lead switch continued even after Jason “f0rsaken” Susanto’s Ace in Round 16.

However, Round 20 was where PRX halted the points shift. The three-round win streak finally allowed them to go stop the match, 13-10.

Towards Masters London

PRX will be in position to repeat their 2025 run when they won Stage 1, Masters Toronto, and Stage 2.

Meanwhile, Masters London will also be a historic stage for the Filipino pros in the competition.

Invy, Patmen, and Xavier “xavi8k” Juan’s appearance will mark the first time three homegrown Filipinos will enter VALORANT’s international stage.

Masters London will begin on June 6, 2026.
