Acer Philippines is preparing for another push into gaming with the upcoming Predator League, while also looking to bring some of the company’s newest products unveiled at IFA 2026 to local consumers.
Speaking during the Acer Music Run, an event that drew more than 4,000 runners across its 5K and 10K categories, Mart Maranon, Marketing Manager of Acer Philippines said the company is looking forward to the next Predator League activities after wrapping up this year’s Acer Day campaign.
Maranon confirmed that VALORANT will be part of the upcoming Predator League, although Acer has yet to finalize the complete list of game titles for the Philippine competition.
“Definitely Valorant is one,” Maranon said when asked about the games that would be featured. Dota 2 was also discussed, though he said it might not be included in the official lineup.
Acer has not yet announced the full details of the Philippine Predator League, with the company keeping the remaining information under wraps for now.
The upcoming competition also comes as Acer continues to expand its gaming hardware lineup following its IFA 2026 announcements in Berlin.
One of the products Acer Philippines is looking at bringing to the country is the Predator Atlas 7, a Windows gaming handheld with a seven-inch Full HD display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device can be configured with Intel Arc G3 Extreme or Intel Arc G3 processors, up to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 storage. Acer has also equipped it with its Predator AeroBlade cooling system and a battery of up to 80Wh.
The Atlas 7 was one of several gaming products Acer introduced around IFA. The company also showed Project DualPlay Mini, an eight-inch convertible gaming handheld concept that can switch between handheld and laptop-style use. Unlike the Atlas 7, however, the DualPlay Mini remains a concept rather than a confirmed commercial product.
Acer Philippines is also looking at bringing the new Swift Air 16 laptop to the local market, along with new monitors shown at IFA featuring 1,000Hz refresh rate. The company expects some of these products to arrive in the Philippines within the year, although exact launch dates and local pricing have yet to be confirmed.
For the Predator Atlas 7 in particular, Acer has already announced availability plans for North America in the fourth quarter of 2026 and Europe, the Middle East and Africa in November. Philippine availability and pricing have not yet been announced.
The interview took place during Acer’s first Music Run, which marked the end of this year’s Acer Day activities following the Acer Day concert on August 30. More than 4,000 participants joined the 5K and 10K runs, with music playing along the routes and a party vehicle accompanying runners.
Acer said the response has encouraged it to consider making the run an annual event, with the possibility of holding similar activities more frequently and in other parts of the Philippines.
The company’s immediate focus, however, is shifting back toward its gaming audience. With the Predator League coming up and new gaming hardware from IFA potentially headed for the Philippines, Acer is preparing to extend its gaming push beyond the Acer Day festivities and into the rest of the year.
