He will lead the teams that partner with the region’s advertisers and agencies, helping businesses of every size innovate with AI and accelerate growth through Meta’s family of apps. He will also work to deepen Meta’s partnerships across the region.“Southeast Asia is one of Meta’s fastest-growing business regions, and the work ahead is helping businesses leverage AI and messaging at the pace their customers already expect,” said Benjamin Joe. “Dhruv has spent seven years close to those businesses, and he has built the teams that support millions of them. He is the right person for this next phase.”
Facebook in the Philippines has faced continuous scrutiny from the DICT when it comes to child safety. Meta had also agreed to set up a local office to help the government combat growing cases of cybercrime and grooming of minors. It is important to note that this new office is a separate group from the current office of Meta that deals mostly with advertising clients, located in Bonifacio Global City.
The appointment of Vohra falls under commercial strategy.
