MANILA, Philippines – With a rapidly emerging mobile ecosystem, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture keeps up with the latest key applications in mobile platforms for its clients.
Accenture recently held its three-day kick-off lecture series which focused on “Emerging Mobile Ecosystem” as part of the Accenture Solutions Delivery Academy (ASDA) program.
Dr. Abel Sanchez, Research Scientist of Massachusetts Institute of Technology delivered his lecture to professionals, students and Accenture employees.
The ASDA is a collaboration between Accenture and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professional Education, a “career development opportunity that brings additional focus and recognition to critical delivery skills across Accenture’s global information technology workforce.”
Launched in 2006, the ASDA program provides Accenture employees globally a training and certification program “that furthers the technical development of today’s generation of IT professionals.”
Training lasts between 9 months and two years, said Accenture’s Senior Executive Winston Cruz.
The certifications offered by ASDA include: Certified Application Developer, Certified Application Designer, Certified Application Tester, Application Test Designer.
The certifications represent that they have been able to pass the rigorous standards the Accenture and MIT have defined, Cruz said.
The collaboration with MIT, is a “unique” one because it validates the training and curriculum of Accenture’s courses, Cruz said.
To date, more than 5,300 Accenture IT professionals globally have completed and earned an ASDA certification, with 250 coming from the Philippines.
Accenture currently has more than 223,000 employees globally, with 10% coming from the Philippines.
