MANILA, Philippines – Facebook Inc. launched Monday its “Unfollow” button to allow users to block messages and posts from selected friends without unfriending them.
This new feature has replaced the “Hide All” button, which has the same function as the latter.
The “Unfollow” button also gives users the option of blocking newsfeeds from certain people without offending them, a better option than using unfriending button that breaks ties with a certain person on the social network without notifying them.
“The goal of this change is to help people curate their News Feed and see more of the content that they care about,” a Facebook spokesperson told in a statement.
