Santa Claus: From down the chimney and into cyberspace

MANILA, Philippines – “’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there,” so goes the first stanza of the poem by Clement Clarke Moore.

Little did Moore know that close to 200 years later, St. Nicholas, Santa Claus, to most, would no longer be coming down the chimney to deliver his gifts, or read a bag of letters from children from across the world or write a checklist of who’s naughty or nice.

In this day and age of the Internet, imagine how Santa can do all these things with the use of technology.
