MANILA, Philippines—It’s the rivalry that has transcended sports, and now can be found even in cyberspace.
As the feud between the Ateneo de Manila Lady Eagles and the De La Salle Lady Spikers erupted on the padded floors of the Mall of Asia Arena, so did the explosion of support in Twitterverse.
After the Lady Eagles swooped down on the low-flying arrows of the Lady Spikers in their first encounter in the finals, which forced the best-of-three series between the two teams, supporters from botch camps also swung their punches with hashtags #SeizeTheMomentAteneo and #DLSUfourthewin.
With Ateneo, as of posting time, knocking closely on the door of a possible do-or-die and La Salle trying to add another title to their quiver, the hashtag battle is on.
La Salle’s supportive hashtag currently sits atop the Top 10 topics, while Ateneo’s hasthag is at second.
