MANILA, Philippines – Many netizens believe that President Benigno Aquino III’s “Daang Matuwid” policy would triumph over graft and corruption.
After the Office of the Ombudsman found substantial evidence to file plunder and graft charges against Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., majority of the netizens believe that a resolution could be seen in the remaining years of the Aquino administration.
In an unofficial poll by INQUIRER.net, 59.62 percent or 2,139 respondents from the total 3,576 believe that there would be some resolution of sorts, be it favorable or against the three senators and other public figures.
But some disagreed as 40.18 percent of respondents (1,437) doubt that the “Daang Matuwid” can really curb graft and corruption.
