MANILA, Philippines – PLDT Home Bro welcomes a new ultra-fast addition to the family.
The telecommunications leader officially launched PLDT HOME Bro Ultera – the TD-LTE-powered (Time Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution) high-speed wireless Internet connection for the home offering speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
“PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is the perfect fit for digitally active families,” Ava Espanola, PLDT assistant vice president and head of HOME Fixed Wireless Solutions, said. “It allows for continuous family fun and bonding whether it’s through social media, online streaming, or downloading.”
PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is currently available in three plans: Ultera Basic, with speeds of up to 3 Mbps; Ultera Max, which reaches up to 5 Mbps; and the top of the line Ultera Pro, which delivers speeds up to 10 Mbps.
With its ultra-fast connection speed, PLDT HOME Bro Ultera comes with special add-on devices that all members of the family will enjoy. The whole family can bond over hundreds of blockbuster flicks from Clickplay, and thousands of episodes of Asianovelas and Tagalized animes from MyPinoyTV.com. Music lovers in the family can access thousands of music hits from Spinnr (powered by SMART Music) while kids and kids-at-heart can enjoy the latest games from EA Games. Finally, moms and dads can get the latest news and information from News5 Everywhere.
PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is also fast enough to support the use of PLDT HOME TVolution, a powerful Android device that turns ordinary TV into an internet TV.
Espanola added, “With PLDT HOME Bro Ultera, it’s easier for families to have meaningful interactions through one powerful connection.”
New Brand Ambassadors
The launch of PLDT HOME Bro Ultera also coincides with the launch of the brand’s new ambassadors – the Teng siblings, specifically Jeric and Jeron, and sister Almira.
Jeric and Jeron are known for their rivalry on court during the 76th season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines basketball championship. Jeric, who now plays for the Philippine Basketball Association, was a shooting guard for the University of Sto.Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers, while younger brother Jeron is a forward for the De La Salle Green Archers. Almira, on the other hand, is currently a fine arts major at UST.
The siblings, together with their parents and their older sister, are self-confessed home buddies who enjoy downloading and watching movies together, and entertaining themselves through music and social media.
“We’re super happy to be together as PLDT HOME Bro Ultera’s ambassadors. Internet is important to us, and we would not settle for anything less than the best wireless broadband for our home,” Jeron said.
Almira added, “PLDT Home Bro Ultera enriches our home bonding experience. I think Ultera is everything that an Internet should be. It’s fast and that’s really important because a strong connection makes it easy for us to pursue our passions and have fun while doing it.”
According to Espanola, the Teng siblings prove that technology can, in fact, bring families closer by giving them avenues and tools to spend quality time together. “At the end of the day, it’s how you use technology, and the Teng siblings show us that there are a lot of family-friendly and fun ways to enjoy ultra-fast Internet like PLDT HOME Bro Ultera.”
