HELSINKI, Finland — “Clash of Clans” maker Supercell says pre-tax profit last year more than doubled to 515 million euros ($564 million) as sales of its popular games surged three-fold to more than 1.54 billion euros.
Last year, the Helsinki-based company, which is also known for its popular ‘Hay Day’ game, launched its third game ‘Boom Beach.’
CEO Ilkka Paananen said the good performance was the result of the game maker’s goal of bringing together “the best people in the industry to create games that millions of players want to play for years.”
Supercell employs 155 people from 33 countries, mostly at its headquarters in the Finnish capital. It started developing games for tablets in 2011 and has produced more than 165 games on 12 different platforms.
