‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ trailer leaks

The upcoming trailer for Warner Bros’. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”—scheduled to be released on April 20—leaked Tuesday (Manila time).

An amateur recording of a Portuguese language screening of the trailer is fast spreading across the net.

Directed by Zack Snyder of “300″ fame, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is one of the many films featuring DC comics superheroes hinted to lead toward a full-blown Justice League movie.

The leaked trailer contains a bevy of details on why the two most famous DC superheroes butt heads.

Henry Cavill returns as Superman, following his debut as the Big Blue in 2013’s Man of Steel. As shown in the trailer, the world has grown distrustful of the godlike being known as the Last Son of Krypton, even after his rescue of Earth from General Zod and his cohorts.

This atmosphere of suspicion pervading the footage could be one of the reasons why The World’s Greatest Detective would have cause to take Superman down.

This will be Ben Affleck’s big screen debut as the caped crusader, having previously appeared in another superhero movie as the titular character in Marvel’s 2003 “Daredevil.”

Also confirmed to be in the movie are Batman’s butler, Alfred (played by Jeremy Irons) and Superman nemesis, Lex Luthor (played by Jesse Eisenberg).

Revealed in trailer were full views of Batman’s outfit, as well as sneak peeks of the Batmobile and the Batplane.

In the final showdown in the trailer, Batman could be seen wearing a considerably bulky and armored costume as he confronts Superman.

Much like the final scene if “300,” Batman asks the godlike being before him if he bleeds.

And in a gruff, husky voice—not unlike his predecessor Christian Bale’s signature Batman voice—he declares, “You will.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in theaters in March 2016. IDL
