Second ‘The Little Prince’ movie trailer released

The latest Little Prince trailer is no longer invisible to the eye.

A second trailer for the animated adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s best-selling book about a stranded aviator meeting a strange child in the desert was released on Tuesday.

The Little Prince film adaptation will be headed by director Mark Osborne, known for his work on Kung Fu Panda and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie.

An all-star ensemble featuring Marion Cotillard, James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Benicio Del Toro, Ricky Gervais, and Paul Giamatti will lend their voices to the characters of the book beloved by millions around the world.

The story will revolve around a young, over-achieving girl (Mackenzie Foy) pushed to live a very grown-up life by her mother. She discovers an entirely new world inhabited by the Little Prince thanks to a quirky aviator (Jeff Bridges).

The film will employ two visually distinct animation techniques, using computer-generated imagery for the “real world” and stop motion animation for scenes featuring the events found within the book.

The Little Prince is scheduled to premiere during the two-week long 68th Cannes Film Festival in France.
