Filipino netizens did not waste their time thinking up witty titles about some shows that they want to see on online streaming site Netflix as it can now be accessed in the Philippines.
Using the hashtag #NetflixPHShows, netizens played with the titles of American and local shows to come up with their funny and witty titles of shows which may not even see the light of day.
Some poked fun on celebrities, politicians–such as Senator Grace Poe, Vice President Jejomar Binay, and Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.–and even lyrics of hit songs to make their own Netflix shows.
The hashtag became the second top trending topic on Twitter as of this writing.
On Thursday (Philippine time), Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced that the online streaming service, which produced “House of Cards,” “Orange is the New Black,” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” will go live in 130 countries, including the Philippines.
Netflix in the Philippines will have three plans starting with a monthly subscription plan of P370.
