“If you don’t like what you see, how can you make it a thing of beauty?”

That was the question posed by the minds behind the now-viral campaign “#RedesignManila” where they ask Filipinos to pitch in and come up with solutions on how to reinvent the dreary metropolis.

In the video which lasted more than two minutes, various solutions were offered to give new life to public structures such as placing plants and wooden installations in the LRT tracks and bridges, repainting buildings, and putting electrical wirings underground.

The video was set to Hotdog’s “Uuwi.”

Production agency Go Motion is behind the campaign.

“‪#‎RedesignManila is a Go Motion Productions creative initiative that aims to showcase and invite Filipinos to re-imagine and revive beautiful Manila,” their Facebook post reads.

The video has since been viewed more than 236,000 times as of this writing and has been liked 8,300 times on Facebook.

“We believe Manila can look, feel and live better. We deserve it. Manila deserves it,” the group said. AJH
