Artist and tour guide Carlos Celdran on Wednesday clarified that his viral Facebook post the day before was intended for supporters of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte working in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

“I’ll be specific this time,” Celdran posted, before saying that he was referring to Duterte supporters. “All others, over to the right – I love you.”

“Get over yourselves. After all, aren’t you all about ‘jokes’ and pushing the edges of humor? That’s all I heard from your Duterte camp all week,” he said, addressing the supporters of the tough-talking mayor who is now leading in presidential surveys.

“Develop a sense of humor. Soon. You’re gonna need it once you vote that goon into Malacañang. After all, check out the Australian ambassador, she’s in stitches over your guy,” Celdran said.

Duterte has been making headlines during the past several days not only for leading the electoral polls but for also for his viral and controversial comment on the rape and killing of Australian missionary Jacqueline Hamill.

On Tuesday, Celdran, a known Mar Roxas supporter, wrote on his Facebook wall:

“Dear Millenial BPO in the skinny Uniqlo jeans frantically typing on your glittery iPhone6, bitching about Mar, the Liberal party and desperately needing change in your life as you SIT there with a Starbucks Latte in hand:

“Yes. Your new car’s plates took a while to get and you hate EDSA’s hideous traffic. But chew on this and eat it:

“Without Mar and the Liberal Party, you WOULDN’T have that car NOR the job which paid for your freaking oversized Starbucks.

“Oh and don’t compare us to Singapore either. Really. Without that readily available promo fare, you wouldn’t even know what Singapore looks like.

“F****** twat. Grow up.”

Roxas, former secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry, has been cited by President Benigno Aquino III as being pivotal in the growth of the country’s BPO industry.

In another post, Celdran included an infographic about Roxas being called the “father of the BPO industry.”

It is not the first time that the controversial tour guide has confronted those campaigning for Duterte. In December, he called them “Dutertards,” “delusional and lazy.”

“You really think the Philippines can be first world with the wave of the hand or a shot from a gun? You are either stupid or a child or both,” he said. KS/RC
