It’s that time of the year again when the creators behind our favorite pocket monsters, Nintendo, unveil their latest digital creations, in the form of Pokemon ’Sun’ and Pokemon ’Moon’.
A sneak peak of the franchise’s latest installment was uploaded on the official Pokemon YouTube channel on Tuesday, which showcased the three starter Pokemon that users can select upon their journey.
As shown in the clip, players may choose from Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio— the game’s premier Grass type, Fire type and Water type Pokemon, respectively.
Aside from the lovable starters, the footage also introduced the game’s new tropical terrain called the ‘Aloha region’, complete with palm trees and sandy beaches.
It also appears that players may be able to visit small islands surrounding the main region through the use of the HM move, Surf.
Meanwhile, the biggest reveal is seen by the end of the video, where two of the game’s legendary Pokemon appeared briefly.
The mythical creatures’ names remained unconfirmed, but according to trademarks from Nintendo, the pair are most likely to be called Solgaleo and Lunaala.
The theory is further validated, as the Sun creature is obviously based on a lion, while ‘Lunaala’ is the Latin word for “Moon Wing”.
Trainers aiming to ‘catch them all’ may get their hands on the new game upon its U.S. release on November 18.
