‘Selfies’ have become this generation’s favorite past time, and this new one-of-a-kind innovation would surely be be a hit among the masses.
Created by the tech-group, Thinkmodo, the automated selfie stick extends on its own with just a push of a small button, according to a report from the New York-based media, Mashable.
As seen in the 1-minute-and-two-second footage, the impressive device also comes with built-in mini fans, which helps its users achieve the full ‘messy hair- wind effect’ during their snaps.
It gets even more absurd, as users would no longer have to seek the perfect lighting for their shots, due to the device’s integrated ‘beauty light—making ‘selfies’ even more manageable, even if it’s dark outside.
“It’s a little bit heavier than a regular selfie stick, but did you see the features?” Miami-based actress Noa Lindberg, who is featured in the video, was quoted as saying. “Every time they add a feature, it gets heavier, but it’s totally worth it.”
Meanwhile, the iPhone exclusive stick connects to a phone via Bluetooth, according to the report, while the photos in the promotional video were actually shot using it.
The invention might just be the craziest and most impractical selfie stick ever, but sadly, it’s not available for purchase.
Thinkmodo reportedly only made two devices, with the other one as a backup, and was built simply to promote the upcoming series of Lifetime’s Unreal.
No plans for selling
Despite it’s possible public allure, Thinkmodo reportedly has no plans to mass produce the stick.
“We hate to see an awesome idea like this going to waste,” said the group’s founder Michael Krivicka. “If there was enough demand, we’d go back to Lifetime, put our heads together and see what we can do with this.”
The head of the tech group also refused to divulge how much it cost to build the device, which came from Lifetime’s fundings.
However, if the group decides to commercialize the Automated Selfie Stick, Lindberg said she would definitely buy it.
Krivicka, meanwhile, believes there is at least one other virtually guaranteed customer. “We think it’s something Kim Kardashian would love to get it for Christmas.” Khristian Ibarrola
