A video footage featuring Orlando gunman Omar Mateen being interviewed for a documentary has surfaced on video-sharing site YouTube.

Citing reports from Sky News and The New York Daily News, the video, which was a documentary excerpt of 2012 critically acclaimed documentary “The Big Fix”, showed filmmaker Rebecca Tickell interrogating Mateen, 29, while he was working for G4S, a security company. The interview was snatched by a secret camera.

The documentary emphasized a clean-up operation following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, also known as the BP Oil Spill, in the Gulf of Mexico in April 2010.

“There’re people out here but they’re scattered all over the place,” he told Tickell when she inquires if she could interview workers on the place. “There’s no one really to talk to like any supervisors. No one gives a sh*t here. Everyone’s just out to get paid. They’re hoping for more oil to come out and more people to complain so they’ll have jobs. ‘Cause once people get laid off here it’s gonna suck for them. They want more disaster to happen ’cause that’s where their moneymaking is,” Mateen testified to the reporter.

“It’s all about the money, right?” Tickell asks.

“All about the money, exactly,” Mateen responds.

The video caption said the resemblance of Mateen and the security guard is ‘uncanny’. Gianna Francesca Catolico
